Report on IIT Delhi Placements in 2022
On December 1, 2020, IIT Delhi began the first part of its 2020-21 placement campaign. Over 300 positions were offered to students on the first day alone, with top recruiters such as Microsoft, Intel, and Goldman Sachs offering the most employment. More than half of its graduates have already been placed in various fields.

Over 350 active recruiters participated in the institute's placement drive for the class of 2022, and so far 1250 employment offers have been given, including 350 overseas offers and 180 pre-placement offers. Microsoft, the world's largest software company, made more than 60 proposals. The total number of offers received has increased by 45 percent.
Over 300 national and international recruiters planned to provide 500+ job profiles in a variety of industries. In the first wave of placements, the institute exceeded its own expectations, with students receiving over 925 employment offers. More than 200 companies have hired students for more than 250 different employment roles, including pre-placement opportunities.
The majority of the students choose to work in their technical core. Around 90% of students have received offers in their majors. Over 20 countries have made international selections, and foreign offers have been received from Japan, the Middle East, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan, among others.
Deferred assignments were chosen by 13 students. Students who choose this option can use the placement services only once for a maximum of two years.
Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, Tata Projects, EXL Services, ICICI Bank, Goldman Sachs, HCL, Wells Fargo, and IQVIA are among the top recruiters on campus in terms of total number of hires.
The number of Pre-Placement Offers at the institute has increased dramatically. Over 135 PPOs have been received by November 2, 2020, surpassing the 113 PPOs obtained the previous year. Over 150 PPOs have been offered to students so far.
